Georgian National Museum Dimitri Shevardnadze National Gallery will host an interactive project where children with Down syndrome, professional artists and government officials will create joint paintings. Event will take place on October 31st, 2014, at 5 p.m.

October was marked as the World Down Syndrome month, with the aim of raising awareness towards people with this syndrome. In most countries children with Down syndrome are involved in numerous everyday activities; they work and spend time with their relatives and friends. Unfortunately their rights are not well defended in Georgia.

Upcoming event aims to raise awareness of the meaning of Down syndrome in Georgia , to defend the rights of people with this syndrome, and to secure their participation in active lifestyle. Project will be held in the framework of the collaboration between non-profit organization "Our Children"; Georgian National Museum, the Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Diaspora Issues and National Youth Center
