Anthropological Drowsiness

The Georgian National Museum Tbilisi History Museum invite you at the opening exhibition „Anthropological Drowsiness“ by painter Zurab Shekelashvili. Opening event will take place on 16 September 2014, at 5 p.m.
Exposition will represent stone work created by author. Zurab Shekelashvili graduated Tbilisi State Academy of Arts and Berlin University of Arts. From 2009 he carries out activities in Germany. He had 20 exhibition in different Galleries in Cologne, Berlin, Hamburg, Leipzig. He aims to expose and to share the stone installation with society.
The main idea of the project comes from the visual imaginarity of deep spiritualism of black basalt. The painter gives exceptional meaning to it. life as a temporal eternity - this is the main motive of this project.
Stones should gain different function, regarding Georgian culture and traditions.
Exposition aims to tell the story about humans, surrounding world and conditions we all live in.
