Synthetic Art - Artist’s Book “Vepkhistqaosani”

Georgian National Museum Simon Janashia Museum of Georgia invites you at the exhibition Synthetical Art - Artist's Book "Vepkhistqaosani". Opening event will take place on January 26th, 2015 at 4 p.m.

Artist's book is one of the significant genres of synthetic art. The project aims serial production of the Artist's books in the future. "Vepkhistqaosani" was selected as first book from the series.

Georgian artists: Gogi Alexi - Meskhishvili, Misha Gogrichiani, Tamaz Varvaridze, Tamar Kvesitadze, Tamuna Melikishvili, Otar Mucharashvili, Ia Mchedlishvili, Kote Sulaberidze, Maia Sumbadze, Oleg Timchenko, Mamuka Tsetskhladze, Rusudan Khizanishvili, Ushangi Khumarashili, Mamuka Japaridze and Temur Javakhishvili were participating in the process of transformation of "Vepkhistqaosani" into the Artist's book.

Exhibition will showcase more than 200 artworks and illustrated texts of 15 Georgian authors. Afterwards, due to the authors' decisions their works will become part of the Georgian National Museum's collection.

Synthetic Art -Artist's Book "Vepkhistqaosani" is implemented by "Taia films" initiative and supported by Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia.  In the nearest future its planned to spread "Vepkhistqaosani" in the format of the Artist's book and to organize presentations of the Georgian painters both in Georgia and abroad.

Exhibition will last until April 28, 2015.
