Jean-Francois Chougnet, President of the Museum of the Civilizations of Europe and the Mediterranean (MuCEM) and Myriame Morel, Head Conservator of the Museum are visiting   the Georgian National Museum (GNM) on May 10-14, 2015.

Today, On May 11, 2015 the Georgian National Museum and the MuCEM signed a Memorandum of Understanding for promotion of the bilateral cooperation in fields of exhibitions, science and education.

In 2015 within the memorandum Georgian National Museum staff will get an internship in MuCEM. 

The MuCEM was opened in Marseille, France in 2012 and conceptually represents a new type of the museum space, aiming at presenting with various aspects the origins of civilization and cultural heritage of Europe and the Mediterranean, to which Georgia is so closely related with its historical past.
