GNM Giorgi Chitaia Open Air Museum of Ethnography presents the courses of traditional Georgian craft.

The program covers the following: carpet knitting on the loom, weaving Khevsurian garments, traditional joinery (woodcarving and cutting), traditional pottery and other traditional crafts. Within the program, participants will also be able to study stone carving and art processing.

Visitors will have an amazing opportunity to meet masters of the traditional Georgian craft, explore and learn more about local traditions, take part in workshops and courses of crafting and save this part of the National tradition to future generations.

The goal of the program is to preserve traditional craft in Georgia. Along with an ongoing tendency for globalization, the popularization of craft and folk art becomes an inevitable part of preserving National traditions and culture in many different countries.

The program will take place every weekend from 1 pm to 5 pm.
