The Dolls of Japan

Georgian National Museum presents the exhibition "The Dolls of Japan" at Sighnaghi Museum.

The exposition will showcase traditional Japanese dolls - among them are Hina Ningyo (girls' festival doll) and Gogatsu Ningyo (boys' festival doll). They originate from the ancient Japanese traditions and customs.

The exhibition will also present dolls from traditional forms of Japanese theatre, such as No, Bunraku and Kabuki. The exhibition will showcase "Creative Dolls" by modern artists from different regions of Japan as well.
