From May 31, Georgian National Museum presents a multimedia technology exhibition "IMMAGICA. A journey into beauty" at Simon Janashia Museum of Georgia. 

IMMAGICA is an impressive journey within time, which introduces us to Italian paintings between XIV-XIX centuries. It is a combination of voice, lighting, immersive visual and multimedia; discovery of art using the most modern technologies; a new tool for receiving impressions and widen knowledge; easily understandable and accessible for everyone and at the same time thoroughly precise language from the science point of view. 

With the help of the screen projection, visitors will have a chance to take a look at the following artists’ artworks: Giotto – “Ognissanti Madonna” and the “Scrovegni Chapel”, Leonardo da Vinci – “Annunciation”, Botticelli – “The Birth of Venus” and “Spring”, Raffaello – “The Madonna of the Goldfinch, Bellotto – “Piazza San Marco”, “Castello Sforzesco”, Canaletto – “The Chapel of Eton College”, Canova – “Amor e Psyche” and “The Graces”.

A new educational platform, specially designed for this project makes it possible to view the details of the works using the touch screens; VR technologies are involved in the exhibition – visitors will find out the scenes on Canaletto’s and Bellotto’s works. The exhibition is also distinguished as visitors will be able to get information about the works from the headphones with the accompanying music. 

The idea of the exhibition emerged in cooperation with Georgian National Museum and National Research Council of Italy, as a result of the seminars cycle organized by the Italian Embassy, that was dedicated to the use of the latest technologies and innovative systems in the field of cultural heritage protection. Multimedia exposition created by leading technologies is the result of joint work of three Italian companies working in the cultural heritage promotion field: The idea and implementation of the virtual route belong to Cose Belle d’Italia Media Entertainment, a platform created by Centrica, curator of the virtual reality space is – ETT. The exhibition is being organized by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of Georgia.
