By the initiative of the Georgian National Museum "Niko Pirosmani's Day" will be celebrated each year in May from now on.

This year, in the framework of the international Museum Week, special event dedicated to Niko Pirosmani will be organized at the Dimitri Shevardnadze National Gallery. Opening event will take place on 20^th of May 5 pm.

"Pirosmani's Day" represents international public, symbolic event which invites visitors from all age groups.

• Guests will be hosted by "vitalized'' characters of Pirosmani.
• Educational, entertaining programs for kids and adults will take place.
•  Due to the "Pirosmani's Day" Georgian emigrants and Georgians from the regions joined the event and have sent their speech of welcome.
• At the end of the event all visitors will have a chance to let the red balloons go up simultaneously.
