MUSEUMS WEEK - Exhibition “Travel Diary”

In the framework of the special week dedicated to the International Museums Day Georgian National Museum Tbilisi History Museum invites you at the opening of the exhibition of" Travel deary" by Hungarian artist from Iran- Gizella Varga Sinai. Opening event will take place on May, 16th 2014, at 05:00 p.m.

The project covers the big cultural program - the exhibition of the artist and display of films of her spouse - Iranian documentary film maker Hosro Sinai in the "Cinema House". Gizella Varga Sinai was born in Hungary. She received the education in Austria, in the Viennese Academy. From her early age she became interested in the Hungarian fairy tales, legends, and the country past. Living in Iran she had a desire to create a picture of the past and the present at the same time. She searches for the basic themes of the creativity in mythologies and that's why her style of drawing is fresco.

Gizella Varga Sinai worked in Iran from 1968 to 2005. During that period she became the author of six big projects: "From the East to the West", "Blind Dolls", "Echo of Quietness", "The South and its Masks", "Images and Walls", "Travel Diary".

Gizela Varga Sinai is a teacher; she teaches in Iran and Germany, had personal exhibitions in Teheran, Austria, Germany, and England and took part in nearly 30 group exhibitions.

The exhibition "Travel Diary" will last till 28th of May.
