Journey to the East

The Georgian National Museum offers visitors an exhibition - "New Life of the Oriental Collections". The exhibition presents unique objects like the Egyptian Mummy, Qajar Portraits, samurai costume and armor, Chinese porcelain, silk paintings and other.

Dmanisi Summer School

The Georgian National Museum, with the support of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, announces the opening of a new international project: "Dmanisi Summer School," running from 27 August 2012 to 7 September 2012. The focus of the school is the Georgian Studies - a field of humanities covering Georgian history, religion, linguistics and culture.

As part of the National Folk Craft Support Program, The Georgian National Museum (with the support of UNESCO) invites you to take open-air classes in folk crafts beginning August 25th, 2012 at Giorgi Chitaia Ethnographic Museum.
