Georgian National Museum Dimitri Shevardnadze National Gallery invites you at the exhibition dedicated to the 40th birth anniversary of Georgian artist Giga Datuashvili. The opening event will take place on February 22 at 6 p.m.

The exhibition will showcase artist's works from the end of the 90s of the last century. Graphic Interpretations of the characters from literature and compositions made in tempera, watercolor, and pencil will be out on display for the visitors.

Giga Datuashvili has started to paint in a very young age; he received his degree in painting and restoration from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. After the graduation, he was volunteering at the Dzegvi orphanage, where he taught painting. He was also involved in the restoration process of several cathedrals in Georgia.

In an age of 24, he tragically passed away. Author's works are protected at the private collection of his family. 

The exhibition will last until February 28, 2016.
