Georgian National Museum Ioseb Grishashvili Tbilisi History Museum invites you at the opening of the exhibition "Max Ernst, Books and Graphics". Opening event will take place on 6th of December 2006 at 6 p.m.

Exhibition is orginized by the Georgian National Museum, the Goethe Institute Tbilisi and the Institute of International Relations (IFA).

The creation of Max Ernst is very diverse. He is know as graphicist , painter, sculptor, writer, theater decorator, art theorist, director artist, founder of dadaism movement  and laureate of numerous prize.

The exhibition showcases 196 graphic works and 26 books which reflect important stages of his art.

William S. Rubin - Curator of New York Museum of Modern Art once said: ‘‘with his diverse style and technique, Max Ernst was equaly important for surealism and dadaism as Pablo Picaso was for entire 20 century's art.
