Georgia’s Ethnic and Religious Diversity in Fine Art

Georgian National Museum Shalva Amiranashvili Museum of Fine Arts invites you at the opening of the exhibition "Georgia's Ethnic and Religious Diversity in Fine Art". Opening event will take place on 8th of April 2015 at 3 p.m.

The exhibition is devoted to the 10th anniversary of Tolerance Centre under the Public Defender of Georgia.

Exposition showcases 115 artworks that are preserved in the Georgian National Museum and in different private collections. 

Each artwork depicts Georgian multinational and multiconfessional cultural traditions by local and foreigner painters such as: M. Tilke, K. Zdanevich, B. Romanovsky, V. Shukhaev, V. Bebutova-Gabunia, R. Zomer, I. Zanovski, A. Melikov, L. Baiakhchev,  S. Parajanovi, Sh. Koboshvili, D. Gvelesiani, O. Shmeling, G. Khachaturiani etc. 

The exhibition is organized by the Georgian National Museum and Tolerance Centre of Public Defender of Georgia. The event is supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the United Nations Association of Georgia (UNAG), and the Advancing National Integration (ANI). 

The exhibition will last until April 28.
