Georgian National Museum Tbilisi History Museum invites you at the opening of the 7th annual Contemporary Art Festival "Artisterium". Opening event will take place on 7th of November 2014 at 7 p.m.

Artisterium is an international occasion which creates a space to unite contemporary artists and visitors together. Each year theme of the festival responds to some of the most viral problems in the country and world in general. This year the chosen theme is: "Houston, we have a problem!"

This theme suggests to reveal some problematic issues connected to artistic, philosophical, socio-political and ecological spheres. In the framework of the project "Huston" represents concept of "Savior". It also underlines the nature of human collaboration issues and states that success is achieved only when self-confidence, condolence, and share of others problems are priorities.

Artworks of Georgian and foreign participants will be exposed for public. This year Artisterium unites artists of all assets coming from different countries, such as: Georgia, New Zealand, United States of America, Germany, Ireland, Armenia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Finland, Greek, Bosnia and Herzegovina, South Korea, Ukraine, Netherlands, Switzerland and Israel.

Simultaneously with the opening of the festival, museum will host an exhibition of the best photographs from the photo contest of the Georgian online magazine "Photoessay". This contest took place in the framework of collaboration between the magazine and "Artisterium 2014".

Organization of the festival was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of the Georgian National Museum, Museum of Literature, USA Embassy in Georgia, British Council, Goethe Institute, Institut Francais and under the support of the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia.

The exposition will run until 17th of November, 2014.
