Publication “Pipeline and Archaeology”

BP and its partners together with the Georgian Pipeline Company (GPC) have implemented WREP rehabilitation project. The project took place in 1997-98. Following to the Georgian legislation, the Company fully covered costs of the Cultural Heritage Protection Program. This Program was executed by the Archaeological Research Center and S. Janashia Museum of Georgia (currently both these organizations are under the umbrella of the Georgian National Museum). The Cultural Heritage Protection Program foresaw rescue archaeological excavations during the pipeline construction. Results of the archaeological works have been published in 2 volumes of “Pipeline and Archaeology”.
