Development of Dsalisa Museum-Reserve

Date: 30 Nov. -0001 – 30 Nov. -0001

The long-term goals of the project were to conserve the Dsalisa archaeological site and improve the infrastructure around it in order to enhance its capacity to accommodate tourists to this unique place. As the first step, architects, archaeologists, and conservationists prepared a plan for the site. The site was cleaned and specific archaeological areas were scanned, making it possible to accurately assess the site through the use of modern technology. As additional components of the project, a structure that protects an ancient temple and a beautiful mosaic were restored; a drainage system was developed; a visitor center was created; and materials for information bulletins were developed.
