The Exhibition “The Quarter of the Day”

01 July 2016

Georgian National Museum Ioseb Grishashvili Tbilisi History Museum invites you to the exhibition "The Quarter of the Day" by Tamar Melikishvili. The opening event will take place on July 6, 2016 at 6:30 pm.

Tamar Melikishvili related her project to time - the moment when she separates from actuality and creates a new reality on canvas. In this project, she perceives spontaneity and thus defeats the conceptual idea. She freed herself from banality and worked on topic, which, as she explained, is the reflection of modernity as well as archaic. The exhibition will showcase about 70 paintings depicting people united by emotions: passion, melancholy, alienation, mystery.

Tamar Melikishvili is a graduate of Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. She has worked as a film painter, was the designer of the journal "Sarkmeli". Also, the artist had solo projects and participated in several group exhibitions.

The exhibition will last until July 6, 2016.

Address: Ioseb Grishashvili Tbilisi History Museum (Karvasla). 8, Sioni Str. Tbilisi, Georgia.
