The Exhibition “Returning from Journey’s afar”

Georgian National Museum Shalva Amiranashvili Museum of Fine Arts invites you to the solo exhibition "Returning from Journey's afar" by Alexander Pavlov. The opening event will take place on June 22, 2016 at 5 pm.

The exposition will showcase 21 paintings by the Ukrainian artist and writer Alexander Pavlov whose works are characterized by the aesthetics of abstract expressionism. Presented artworks are reflecting the author's thoughts on the current state of culture and society.

Spiritual and sexual violence, betrayal, hopelessness, apathy, anxiety and fear are the main topics of the artist. He focuses on the problem of the relationship between arts the reality. His art is considered in the prism of love, suffering, faith, anger, joy and death.

Since 1968, artists had participated in many solo and group exhibitions in Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Luxembourg, India and UK.  Also is an author of several books and article.

The exhibition is supported by "Humanity Georgia".

The exhibition will last until July 15, 2016.
