The exhibition "Tbilisi - My Love"

Georgian National Museum Shalva Amiranashvili Museum of Fine Arts invites you at the opening of the exhibition "Tbilisi - My Love" by Ukrainian artist Olga Pertova. The opening event will take place on 12th of June 2015 at 6 pm.

Doctor of Philosophy Olga Pertova is a famous painter, art historian and art-critic from Kiev. Her works had been exhibited in many countries such as Great Britain, Austria, Germany, Japan, India, Kiev and etc.

The exhibition will showcase about 20 paintings and 3 etchings. Artist first visited Georgia in 1966, where she met outstanding Georgian artists: E. Akhvlediani, K. Ignatov, V. Djorbenadze and S. Parajanov. The concept of the exhibition behind the paintings includes author's book-essay, in which she describes her attitude towards Tbilisi. Visitors will have the possibility to see Georgian landscapes, temples and paintings which express the artist's personal emotions about Georgia.

At the end of the exhibition artist will donate 15 paintings to the Georgian National Museum.  

The exhibition is supported by The Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia, Embassy of Ukraine in Georgia, Embassy of Georgia in Ukraine and the Modern Art research Institute of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine. 

The exhibition will last until 28 June 2015.
