The Georgian National Museum presents Irina Gabiani'svideo screening and exhibition  "Unknown world" on 5 September, 2012.

World, universe, essence of existence - these are the topics on which mankind have been thinking for centuries.

Everyone periodically returns to this questions and looks for an answer.

Irina Gabiani is an artist, who regularly deals with these themes with different artistic means and media, trying to transmit to the viewer her personal and very interesting interpretation of these issues.

Irina Gabiani always tries to show our surrounding world to the viewer from an unusual angle through her videos. The complexity of the universe is at the center of her artistic research. 

In her videos, she often uses texts of Jalal ad- Din Rumi andLaozi. 

In this exhibition Irina Gabiani presents her 17 recent video-works and a related photo installation. 

Irina Gabiani's artistic interests include drawing, painting, installation, video art and performance. 

Since 1998 Irina Gabiani lives and works in Luxembourg. Her works have been shown in solo and group exhibitions and she has been participating in many international exhibitions, festivals, art forums and projects.

In 2011 Irina Gabiani participated in the 54th Venice Biennale, at the Arsenale-the main exhibition space of the Biennale in Venice- in the Italian Pavilion.

In 2012, she has been invited to the second Luxembourg Design Biennale.
