100 Years of Georgian Parliamentarism: The Georgian Constituent Assembly

The 100th Anniversary of Georgian Parliamentarism is being celebrated on the 12th of March 2019. On this date the Georgian National Museum in cooperation with the National Archives of Georgia, the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia, and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia is hosting a poster exhibit "100 Years of Georgian Parliamentarism: The Georgian Constituent Assembly", in which the history of the Georgian parliament is told using various images, texts and documents.

Georgian National Museum at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2018

In the framework of the Frankfurt International Book Fair Guest of Honor program, with the initiative of The Government of Georgia and The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Georgian National Museum displays three exhibitions and educational programs in the fall of 2018. The exhibitions presented in different museums of Frankfurt aims to represent the history of human evolution from the prehistoric epoch to the ancient period on the territory of Georgia and the Caucasus.

Antique Bronze figurine gifted to Georgian National Museum

On September 30 2018, during the annual harvesting ceremony, the founders of the company "Château Mukhrani", Mr. Mamuka Khazaradze and Mr. Badri Japaridze festively presented an antique bronze statuette, unique in itself, uncovered in Akhalgori, to the General Director of the Georgian national Museum  Prof. David Lordkipanidze.
